ABOUT MY WORK

I grew up in post-Soviet Ukraine. I studied the history, culture, politics and languages of Eastern Europe for 12 years and earned my degree in Slavic, Ancient and Medieval History, 

The jarring transformations and scarceness of that era taught me that the external political world is a source of chaos and often cruel injustices. Unfortunately, we now, once again, see these forces descend upon the people of Ukraine. Art is a critical tool for me to process and make sense of how this reality affects me and those around me. 

I am currently exploring how interior experiences shape and are shaped by the exterior. This is as true with our own thoughts as it is with social groups, historic movements, and momentous events. That which is unseen will find a way to be seen.
